Led by a stellar performance from Jaylen Brown, who poured in 22 points, the Celtics outplayed the Mavericks from start to finish. Despite the absence of their injured superstar Luka Doncic, the Celtics showed no signs of complacency. They dominated the paint, outrebounding the Mavericks 52-33. The Celtics' defense was equally impressive, holding the Mavericks to just 37.3% shooting from the field. Jayson Tatum, Brown's co-star, added 21 points, while Derrick White and Payton Pritchard chipped in with 18 and 17 points, respectively.
